Favorite Yoga Move:

Pigeon in Yang (Sleeping Swan in Yin). When held long enough, this pose is the essence of yoga.

Reason Started Doing Yoga:

I started yoga when my life was consumed with the stress of graduate school and just as I began a busy career in academia. I was not only spending a lot of time behind a computer, I was under pressure to prove myself daily and be prolific in my work. Yoga was the outlet I needed to calm my mind, delve deep into my body, open up tight muscles, and detox.
