Alysa's teaching style is simple and effective. Encouraging students to discover their own 'alone time' on the mat, her intelligent sequences physically realign the body, help refocus the mind, and hold a safe space for students to emotionally reset. Alysa firmly believes in the power of yoga and meditation as a connection within and with each other aiding in various forms of recovery. Inspired by neuroplasticity, somatic experiencing and integrative medicine, she is a certified 500 RYT Yoga Therapist with emphasis on working with disembodied populations. With really good music and an infectious smile, Alysa's class offers an opportunity to re-balance from the inside out while shining an unapologetic light with pure intention to re-connect students with their inner teacher.

When the entire class sighs out a full exhale, so I guess, the breath is my favorite yoga move ;)
How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:
Yoga is a way for me to connect with myself. I find a necessary reboot, reset, and reconnect through my yoga practice. Yoga is also a connection with a very special community of fellow students. I feel beyond blessed to have an abundance of community at Ra and all over the world.
Reason Started Doing Yoga:
For the obvious reasons-- at first being a hot body- which soon developed far beyond the physical and started becoming a form of therapy. The magic of yoga is this mind-body connection to the in between, in that space I find healing.
