I was born in the UK and spent my childhood moving around the US as a Navy-brat until I was 12, at which time my family settled in NM. I came to SoCal at the end of 2016 for the excitement and ocean air. I have been an athlete and fitness enthusiast from an early age, and over the course of my life have branched into physical therapy, athletic training, massage therapy, health coaching and nutrition education. I am fascinated by all things body, mind and spirit, including anatomy, physiology, psychology, and philosophy. As a youngster, I struggled with poor self-image and disordered eating, and while athletics helped pull me off that path, it was Yoga that skyrocketed my evolution.

I have been practicing Yoga since 2003, and received my first 200 hour certification in Power, Vinyasa, Hot 26, and Yin Yoga in 2012. My 500 hour certification with Yoga Medicine is underway, and I specialize in Yoga for Athletes, Spine and Shoulder Orthopedics, Women’s Health, Yin Yoga, and Meditation. In addition, I have attended immersions in YogaHour Hatha Flow and Rocket Ashtanga Vinyasa.

While I love to be technical and traditional in some senses, there is another part of me that is rowdy and full of curveballs! My second 200 hour certification is in Buti Yoga, of which I have been selected to become a master trainer. I am also certified in HotCore and Buti Sculpt, and teach mat Pilates and HIIT.

In my spare time, I am soaking up inspiration from a variety of classes including circuit training, kickboxing, jiujitsu, pole fitness, twerk, hip-hop, burlesque, and barre. I practice seated meditation almost daily and strive to bring mindfulness to everything I do. Food preparation and portrait photography are some of my favorite creative outlets, and I love to sing and whistle. My heart’s desire is to travel and to help others get in touch with their highest selves.

Favorite Yoga Move:

Side Plank - there are so many variations on the pose and possibilities for where it could go next! I like to pretend that gravity works in reverse and I’m about to fly up off the floor!

How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:

It has helped me uncover and learn to love all parts of myself.

Reason Started Doing Yoga:

Curiosity…It began with a DVD and it was love at first Savasana. I immediately dove into the philosophy, and it has been the foundation of my life since.
