Carolyn (you can call her “Caro” for short!) started yoga out of her curiosity to “try something new”. What was her first class like? It was challenging. It was invigorating. Most of all – it was fun. She soon realized the benefits of yoga went beyond just the physical aspect. It was the emotional and mental release from her practice that kept her coming back to her mat. Carolyn hopes to provide her students with an opportunity to move with intention and confidence on their mats. She encourages her students to explore their own practice with a playful mindset and an open heart. You can also find her sweating in different ways – including group fitness classes, strength training or indoor spin.

Favorite Yoga Move: 

Supta Baddha Konasana aka Reclined Bound Angle (both with and without chest expansion on blocks) – it always feels the yummiest in my body

How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most: 

Through yoga, I have been able to cultivate a deeper sense of connection and awareness to my own body and self. It is a daily practice of presence and mindfulness, but I feel that yoga not only has improved my relationship with myself, but also to those around me.

Reason Started Doing Yoga: 

Prior to finding yoga, I was training a lot of muay-thai/kickboxing; however, I felt that there was still something missing. I began for its physical benefits, but as my journey continued I realized that there was much more to the practice. Through yoga, I have been able to cultivate a deeper sense of connection and awareness to my own well-being.
