I've always been fascinated by how the human body works. I see the body as a whole entity that needs to be teased and touched on every sensory level to keep the mind, body, and spirit integrated and healthy which is why I eventually found my way to yoga and functional medicine. Like many others, it was a life changing experience (a divorce) in 2002 that brought me back to what I really love to do, teaching and healing. I've been blessed with many wonderful teachers who have taught me so much on the way.
I love food! I love to cook, travel, camp, and be outdoors. I love to teach others how to nurture and heal their bodies. I'm a mom of two wonder grown sons.

Favorite Yoga Move:

Standing forehead to knee (Dandayamana-Janushirasana)

How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:

As a practitioner, it has taught me how to be more present, to be more body aware, and to laugh at my myself. It has kept me walking and doing the physical things I love to do. As a teacher, it has taught me compassion and softness which is the best gift of all.

Reason Started Doing Yoga:

I originally started yoga over 18 years ago because I had a great chiropractor who told me I had to go-my back needed some serious help. It then became a life-saver while going through a very tough and stressful time in my life. Which is what made me want to become a teacher.

5 Words That Describe Your Teaching Style:

Detailed, fun, encouraging, nurturing, and challenging.
