My path of yoga came to fruition in 2015 when I was in and out of the hospital due to fibromyalgia. I began to seek healing for my body that conventional medicine couldn’t provide me. My Chinese doctor recommended me to do yoga to help with the state my body was in and like a BOOM! I was hooked. Yoga to me became much more than the physical practice and it became a lot deeper than that, I found a spiritual journey. I was inspired. It wanted to share the same experiences I received from my practice with the world.
Favorite Yoga Move:
My favorite yoga pose is savasana! It seems simple at first, but relaxing the mind was a huge challenge. To me it symbolizes, effort, ease, and restoration.
How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:
Yoga has allowed me to dance in the flow of life. I have a better connection with my body, mind, and spirit.
Reason Started Doing Yoga:
I started doing yoga due to the physical limitations and injuries in my body. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in my early teens and was in and out of the doctors office constantly. Along with dealing with this at the age of 16, I was working corporate for a company and enrolled in college full time. There’s nothing more I needed at this time in my life then to just PAUSE. My yoga practice gave me that opportunity.
