I started my yoga practice with a Rodney Yee VHS tape I bought at Target back in ‘99. Sobriety brought me to studio practice years later in 2006. Yoga helped me navigate some of the emotions and physical sensations I was dealing with in those challenging times. I did my first teacher training at the Minneapolis CorePower a year later in February 2007.

In the years since, I’ve taught many thousands of yoga and meditation classes throughout the United States and in the Middle East. I've managed studios, led Teacher Trainings and numerous workshops-- even DJed yoga classes. I've been a part of Sound Healing and spoken word events with Third Dreamer (a project with my partner Mona) and I still keep finding new ways to be amazed and humbled by the transformative power of this work.

Favorite Yoga Move:

Padmasana (lotus). Meditation is the cornerstone of my home practice and lotus is the foundation of my meditative practice.

How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:

I cannot even imagine what my life would be like without yoga, even so, I can say that yoga has benefited me most by introducing me to my amazing partner, who helps keep me honest and on the path!

Reason Started Doing Yoga:

On VHS, as a form of home exercise. At studios: to help myself through the process of sobriety.

5 Words That Describe Your Teaching Style:

Dancey. Liberated. Funny. Cosmic. Intimate.

Classes I Teach

I want to set up and strengthen the foundation of your yoga practice in a fun and friendly environment. Good for beginners or those who want to focus and build the core principles of vinyasa yoga.

For this class, more challenging postures and options are offered, while care and attention are still given towards keeping a solid foundation.
