Denise started taking Bikram yoga 15+ years ago and loved the heat, strength and discipline of the practice. She continued to do various yoga classes over the years, getting back to yoga seriously in 2010 during some difficult transitions in life. It helped her heal, connecting mind, body and spirit on a level she had never experienced before. She completed her 200 hour certification in 2011 and has been teaching Vinyasa for over three years. She recently began teaching yogalates and also leads weekly yin restorative classes. When Denise isn't teaching yoga inside, she finds her passion on a SUP board. She began teaching stand up paddle board yoga two years ago in Huntington Harbor. She loves the great outdoors, biking at the beach, hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and just doing yoga in nature. Denise also loves live music and has had various musicians play during her candlelight yoga and beach yoga classes. She believes yoga is an endless beautiful journey that benefits everyone on every level.

Favorite Yoga Move: 

My favorite asana is Vrksasana - Tree Pose. I love how it connects us not only to the earth, but to the Universe as well. Energy is released through our limbs/branches and makes a full circle back to our roots, our earth and connects us love.

How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most: 

Yoga has truly changed my life. It has helped me connect body, mind and spirit...It has taught me to enjoy the here and now - to be present in my life as best I Warrior Two the hand behind you points to the past...the hand in front of you pointing to the horizon is the future, and your body that is grounded and strong and center is your is all we have.

Reason Started Doing Yoga: 

I took yoga for many years to get more flexible and strong. I loved Bikram and the heat and the discipline. After awhile I got away from it. Then a couple years later I reconnected to yoga when I was going through some difficulties in life with infertility and loss. I dove head first back into yoga, this time Vinyasa, mostly. It helped me heal and get stronger when my body was at its weakest. It saved me in many heart and spirit..made me strong again. I went to teacher training 3 years ago to deepen may practice and immediately fell in love with teaching. My journey continues...
