Jamie Mc McGee
E-RYT 200 | 500 hour certified | SUP certified
Jamie fell in love with yoga after her first class in 2013. She couldn’t get enough of the physical and emotional high she would feel each time in Savasana. In 2014, she decided to take it a step further and become a certified teacher through H3 Yoga school. Since then she has taught Bikram, hot flow, Vinyasa, and Yin every chance she gets. She has worked with private clients, children, and has assisted in multiple teacher trainings at studios throughout the country. Her favorite part of teaching is connecting with the students on and off the mat and seeing the change in individuals through a consistent yoga practice. One thing that Jamie continues to stress to her students, is that Yoga is about the breath, not the pose.
Favorite Yoga Move:
Balancing postures are my favorite, because they are never consistent! One day you can hold it for 2 minutes and the next day you keep falling out of the pose. These postures keep you honest and humble, accepting that every day you come to class as a “new student”.
How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:
Yoga helps me enjoy and stay in the present moment. Instead of thinking about the past, or planning for the future, I can truly enjoy this very second to the fullest!
Reason Started Doing Yoga:
I first came to yoga for the sweat and for the challenge. Now I come to yoga for health of my overall body and the peace of mind I leave with after a good class.
