My yoga journey began four years ago after a bad car accident that left me with serious back problems. Doctors advised I stop my intense workout regimen, no more running, and discontinue any physical activity that would flare up my back pain. I vowed to myself I wouldn’t let my injury define me. I looked for different options for physical movement and was suggested to take yoga.

As one who can never stay still, my first savasana was a very antsy experience. However, it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with my practice. The mental and physical challenges provided me a whole new perspective on and off the mat. I am constantly learning and developing my skills, but that’s why I enjoy it so much.
