Influenced by my teachers, peers, environment, experience, and my travels, I aim to bring a unique sense of empowerment to each of my classes. Through intention, meditation, pranayama, and asana, my goal is to have each student leave my class feeling refreshed and renewed. I teach in a thought provoking manner, where students will have an individual experience through careful planning and energy reading. My classes are physically and mentally challenging, delivered in English and Sanskrit, with uplifting music, minimal demonstrations and maximum hands-on assists. I aim to live a yogic lifestyle and lead my classes to reflect that choice. I am currently working toward completing my 300HR certification at Ra University.
Favorite Yoga Move:
My favorite yoga move is extended puppy pose. I always have tight shoulders and a tight back and this pose feels SO good!
How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:
Yoga has awakened me. This is the greatest journey I’ve been on-- thanks to yoga. Not only have I improved my physical strength and flexibility, but mentally I feel like every day I’m working toward a new level of enlightenment and awakening. I have embrace this beautiful journey of the self, through the self, and to the self. It has become my passion to share the gift of yoga with others.
Reason Started Doing Yoga:
After a tidal wave of unruly life events, I turned to yoga for healing (both emotionally and physically) and meditation. I needed to learn how to take time for myself and to slow things down. Going to my first hot yoga class was transformational. Words cannot describe how amazing I felt during and after class. After that, I was hooked. I went to hot yoga nearly every day, sometimes even twice a day. After a few years of practicing I signed up for teacher training and became a full time yoga/fitness instructor.
