Jenny first began practicing yoga in 2000-- it wasn’t until her second knee surgery in 2004 that she got serious about her practice. She found an amazing teacher who poured her heart into her teaching and made yoga more than just stretching. Now, Jenny strives to offer her students this same kind of inspiration. In 2006 she began teaching yoga only because she was living in East Africa and had a yoga mat. Upon moving to Tanzania, Jenny started a small class at her language school just to get some exercise. She began teaching with no formal training and never imagined that teaching would become her path. For two years her students were the children at the center where she worked and the relief workers that served them. This yoga class is still lives on and is now taught by a Tanzanian. Yoga began as a community building experience for Jenny. The idea of community was central in her inspiration to open her own studio. Jenny has trained with CorePower Yoga, Yoga Works and is a Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist through IAYT. She has studied under, Sarasvati Buhrman, Richard Rohr, Makunda Stiles, Jnani Chapman and many more. Jenny specializes in private yoga asana and yoga therapy.

Classes I Teach

I use this class as an introduction to heat in a vinyasa style. After taking this class you will understand how to protect and strengthen your shoulders, elbows and wrists as well as learning to breathe with the heat.

An always strong vinyasa class with emphasis on breathing and the alignment of fundamental postures. All my classes are inspired by my love for music.

A powerful, lyrical flow class. I design this class to challenge ones body as well as the mind. I teach a dharma infused class inspired by music, dance and martial arts.
