After being told for years that she was a yogi who just hadn’t found her practice yet (and not even knowing what that even meant), Kim finally decided to supplement her gym-rat lifestyle with a trial membership at Ra Yoga. Day one, she felt she had found home.
That was March 2011. The gym membership got cancelled shortly thereafter and Ra truly did become her second home.
Her universe aligned about 2 years later when a job transition was timed perfectly with the start of the inaugural 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certification here at Ra. Kim had found her tribe and a passion that she never knew she had. She went on to also become certified in Yin Yoga and Strength Yoga.
For her, yoga brings focus to the strengthening and lengthening of the body while using the breath to quiet and free the mind. She would like to bring these experiences to all of her students. Since Kim has worked for decades in the restaurant industry, she often focuses on areas that service professionals, as well as anyone spending hours on their feet and in service to others, might find especially helpful.
In her practice, and in life, Kim aspires to live with the intentions of presence, gratitude and grace.

Favorite Yoga Move: 

Honestly, it depends on the day. I always love Virabhadrasana II (Warrior 2). Finding a strong foundation allows me to gain strength as I open up to all that the world has to give.

How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most: 

By reinforcing my faith in myself and continually reminding me that we all have a unique journey and path in this life. A cookie cutter existence is boring and uninspired. By letting your true self shine, you are sharing yourself with the world and making it a better place.

Reason Started Doing Yoga: 

Yoga was something I had been always been meaning to try; the timing was right and Ra was offering a Living Social deal. True story.
