Favorite Yoga Move:
Warrior 2 or Virabhadrasana II - I feel extremely awkward in warrior 2 and focus so hard on "perfecting" the posture. I've learned to let go of what perfect should look like and am able to focus on how it makes me feel, which is what yoga is all about for me.
How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:
There are so many benefits from my yoga practice. Yoga has helped me find balance in a crazy, hectic life. When I focus on my conscious breathing, I am able to get out of my head and allow myself to be fully present. The here and now is all we have and I appreciate it everyday. I've found so much peace through yoga-- acceptance, strength and twelve pack abs (toot toot)... kidding :)
Reason Started Doing Yoga:
I started doing yoga because it was unlike other workouts I was used to. I was so challenged and frustrated when I began practicing yoga. Yoga used to feel slow and a bit boring for me (yeah, NOT)... I've always loved a good challenge and knew I had to keep coming back for more. Boy am I glad I did! Yoga has truly changed me from the inside out, a true love affair.
