Magaly is a 200HR certified instructor from Ra Yoga and holds a 15hr training in Yin. She is also currently finishing her 300HR certification through Be the Change Yoga focusing on a foundation in yoga therapy.

In 2013, yoga arrived and has never left Magaly's life. At first, she focused on a strong physical practice that brought much needed confidence and assurance, but she truly began to embody the practice when the mindfulness and breath merged. The mental and spiritual benefits led her to take steps to begin to heal others and share the practice of yoga. Magaly loves the uniqueness in each students practice and will help you customize to your body and your breath. When Magaly is away from the studio she enjoys surfing, hiking, traveling, and working with kids. She currently volunteers teaching teens yoga for a Costa Mesa non-profit and has also been blessed to work at a kids yoga camp in Bali through the Let's Imagine non-profit organization.

Favorite Yoga Move: 

Savasana. This was and will probably be my most challenging yoga quiet and harness the fluctuations of the mind. Savasana has helped me the most internally with my self-talk and externally with my surfing. It enabled me to reduce anxiety, fear in my mind and to reach a place of calmness and assurance, even as I'm being tossed and turned by the ocean.

How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most: 

Yoga has allowed me to understand who I am, to take away layers of anxiety, fears, expectations, self-worth, validations. To really get to know who I am at my core.

Reason Started Doing Yoga: 

For years, I've told myself that the asana, physical practice attracted me, but as I reflect after practicing for 6 years, I realized that the philosophy was always woven into my life's purpose. Yoga truly and honestly saved my life, it helped redirect me to a path filled with much more clarity and peace. I always loved the workout in my beginner days, but at the seat of my essence, I was speaking and guiding my true self to become a student, a teacher, an observer, a lover.
