Marisha is an RYT-500 and E-RYT 200 Yoga Alliance certified instructor. She has competed certifications in Yin Yoga, Yoga with Weights, Yogalates and Healthy Dieting. In addition she has studied under some of the great Yoga Masters in Bangalore, India where she grew up. She is intrigued not only by the physical practice but also the mental and emotional aspects of yoga. She likes to incorporate essential oils, sound therapy, massage, and epic playlists into her classes.
Favorite Yoga Move:
My favorite pose is Natarajasana, dancers pose. I love it because to do this posture properly requires focus, balance, flexibility, strength and stamina.
How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:
Yoga has affected me in more than one way. It has helped me grow leaner and stronger in physique and kept me grounded in this chaotic world and has also helped me grow in my faith and spirituality.
Reason Started Doing Yoga:
I originally went to yoga because friend told me about a place that offered a free week. I fell in love instantly. Being half Indian and having spent half my life in India, I always struggled to truly fit in anywhere. When I entered the yoga classroom, it was the place my two worlds collided. I had finally found home.
