"Born a Texas girl grew up Boston Strong, but a Cali girl at heart <3
I have a bachelors degree from UMass Amherst in Communications (which
just may help in my already natural people skills :)). I was a
competitive cheerleader for half of my life with a gymnastics
requirement and dance background. Health and fitness have always been
a constant in my life however it wasn't until 2011 that I discovered
yoga and sculpt as a way to workout. Instantly I fell head over heels
- the high energy, weight lifting, cardio and dance party vibe had me
hooked! I decided to enroll in power yoga teacher training at
Corepower which was life changing. I continued on with power
extensions then sculpt teacher training and extensions where I
flourished into the student, teacher, and person I was truly meant to
be. My classes will showcase all the aforementioned focusing not only
on the benefits of weight training but also the mind, body, and soul
connection. I do not take myself too seriously, love to laugh, dance
around with flowers in my hair, and I'm madly in love with LOVE <3"

Favorite Yoga Move:

Downward facing dog, a resting posture. Down dog can be so intense when focusing internally, engaging all the little muscles and fine tuning, while allowing your breath to calm your mind and release your body into the posture.

How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:

Yoga has benefited me in more ways then I even know yet. I am always learning and evolving, hungry to understand the depths of yoga and all the benefits it has to offer, and off my mat. It has benefited me by being my safe place; through yoga, I have been able to find peace with my bulimia which I have been fighting for nearly 20 years. It wasn't until I came to my mat that I realized the power of healing one can do with their own breath and movements. The body is an amazing thing and our breath IS medicine!

Reason Started Doing Yoga:

I started doing yoga simply to get a good workout, shorty after, we fell in love. I realized that working out wasn't only about a hot bod, (though good motivation to get in shape) it was about looking inward and discovering your truest self.

5 Words That Describe Your Teaching Style:
