Nancy Pensamiento was born in Los Angeles. She was first introduced to yoga by her mother who was taking classes in a community college, soon Nancy began her journey with yoga in 2002. As a dancer, she sought and was drawn to yoga due to it physicality, however, the discovery of attaining an “internal silence” through yoga is what has driven her to pursue yoga further.
While living in Vienna, Austria she began practicing Ashtanga Yoga after returning the the States she decided to take her first teacher teacher training in 2010. Nancy has completed 500hrs through Yogaworks, Extensions and 200hrs in Hot Power Fusion with Corepower Yoga, and recieved 100hrs of Ashatange training with Tim Miller.
As a devoted spiritual yogini Nancy sees the practice of yoga as a median to both heal and strengthen the body, while simultaneously filtering, processing, and healing the aspects of life that need special attention. Nancy classes are challenging yet nurturing, she truly sees her teaching as a way of service to others.
Nancy lives a quiet life she enjoys spending time with her little girl, dancing ballet, zouk and salsa, camping, hiking, travel, and sitting at a table with friends for hours on end, doing "nothing".
