I started practicing yoga as a way to heal my body, mind and spirit. I became a student of Kundalini yoga in 2011 and was hooked by my first savasana, but it wasn't until I started practicing in the hot room that I discovered I wanted to teach. I earned my 200 Hour certification from Ra in 2015 and now I love sharing the benefits of the yoga practice with others!

Favorite Yoga Move:

Full Camel (ustrasana also called kapotasana). This backbend is something I continue to practice and it took faith to finally let go and bend all the way back! It deeply opens the heart and shoulders, areas where I hold tension. It's so good for strengthening the heart chakra!

How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:

Every time I roll out my mat, yoga teaches me to love and accept myself. My practice surprises me as I keep building strength--as someone who has never been exactly the most athletic, I never knew how strong I was until I came into the hot room. It helps me to control my breath, which helps me to master my own mind. It awakens me to my intuition.

5 Words That Describe Your Teaching Style:

Clear. Nurturing. Encouraging. Loving. Motivating.
