Rasa is originally from Lithuania and has been in the US close to two decades now. She went to her first hot yoga class in 2007 in New York City along with a friend and loved it immediately. She attended the intense nine-week-long Bikram training just a few months after and that same year moved to Boulder, CO to open a studio. She returned to NYC after several years and enjoyed teaching yoga full time till her first child came along. In 2016 Rasa and her family moved to Huntington Beach, CA. Rasa is now a full time stay at home mom to two small children, but her love for hot yoga remains unwavered, hence she joined Ra Yoga to teach again.
Favorite Yoga Move:
It's very hard to single out one posture, but if I had to - Rabbit, Sasangasana, for what it does to the spine.
How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most:
it proved that regular practice yields lasting benefits. Yoga keeps me humble and in shape.
Reason Started Doing Yoga:
yoga never attracted me until I tried Hot Yoga, because I needed a "workout" not stretching. I did not know what nor how important stretching was. Hot Yoga was a workout and beyond.
