Sarah began her yoga journey as soon as her life as a soccer player ended. After playing soccer at a very competitive levels for most her life she needed a new passion. Yoga allowed her passion for physical movement to move deeper, incorporating mind, body and spirit. Sarah has a great love and respect for the gift of teaching and sharing her love for yoga with others. In 2009 Sarah got certified through the Dayton Method and then got certified with Corepower in yoga sculpt and hot power fusion. Sarah likes challenge her students while at the same time provide the opportunity for her students to experience the healing and transformative nature that yoga nurtures.

Favorite Yoga Move: 

Chaturanga is my favorite move because I feel strong yet graceful when I move through it.

Classes I Teach

RA Strength with Sarah isn’t usually described as easy. I like to challenge all my students when I teach strength class. I always give different levels so that I can challenge ironman strong athletes to the beginner student. I want everyone who leaves the class to feel stronger mentally and physically. This class is the perfect class to do to complete four huge aspects to overall health and wellness. I combine cardiovascular work, strength work, plyometrics, and flexibility all together to kick a serious caloric burn workout. Each class is done a little differently to always keep your muscles challenged in new ways so that you never plateau. This class will let you forget the daily stresses of life and get the best workout possible. It leaves you with a huge endorphin high and a positive attitude!

In Hot Ra I take the student through the same series every class so each individual can see the growth and change they have created in their bodies. It is a heated class to promote sweating allowing the body to be more warmed up so muscles can go deeper into the stretches while reducing the risk of injury. The class is structured with breathing exercise to warm up the body from the inside out and then we move through several postures systematically to strengthen and open up the entire body while shedding calories and detoxing. Finally we end with a nice cool down allowing the body to soak up all the benefits.
