Shanique is a RYT 200hr power yoga instructor with additional certification in restorative yoga, and PNF stretching techniques. In the years she's been teaching in Orange County, she has continued her education through training, workshops, lectures and believes learning is a never ending process. She teaches a range of formats from sculpt, power, restorative and gentle group or private yoga classes. Her style of teaching is to include all students no matter where they are in their journey and to help students find balance along with self acceptance in their practice.
My favorite yoga move is pressing to handstand. It takes faith in yourself, patience and dedication. Life is also fun upside down!
Yoga has benefited me the most by expanding my understanding of my emotions, my thoughts and my breath. At first my practice was surface level and focused on the physicality of yoga. Then it grew into me better discovering myself and understanding who I am. The self awareness and balance I feel most days is pretty amazing compared to world of constant anxiety I was in before.
