Meditation is a powerful practice that can help you live more mindfully, and connect with your wisest self. This two hour workshop will introduce the basics of insight (Vipassana) meditation, and provide simple yet meaningful ways to bring mindfulness into your daily life. Together we will discuss common misconceptions about meditation, play with different ways to focus awareness, and observe thoughts and emotions as they arise. By the end of this workshop, you will have the knowledge and community support to begin your own unique meditation journey. All levels of curiosity and experience are welcome!
A message from Shelby:
I’m a certified mindfulness meditation and yoga teacher, writer, and curious life explorer. My pronouns are she/her, and I am currently based in Orange County – living on the unceded land of the Acjachemen, Kizh, and Tongva nations. I am passionate about sharing the practice of mindfulness meditation and yoga with others, after experiencing the deep healing, joy, and compassion these practices have brought to my own life. I believe that everybody deserves to find moments of peacefulness and ease amidst the everchanging movement of our lives. My focus is on creating impactful yet sustainable ways to bring more mindfulness into all aspects of our human experience.
