Our bodies hold deep wisdom, they have carried us through our whole lives and have been formed by every moment along the way. Often experiences too big and too overwhelming for the conscious mind surpass our mental recollection but get stored directly in our somatic memory, our bodies. In these two hours together we will begin with body mapping that will allow us to open up communication with our bodies in a loving way. Then we will process and consciously move through what comes up.
Come ready to express, share and move.
Teacher Bio:
Madison came to yoga after 10 years as a ballerina left her body injured and unable to move. It was yoga that brought her body and spirit back to life! Yoga is her excuse to talk about the big questions; why we are here and where we are going. She started searching as a child and has continued through her studies in philosophy, spirituality and psychology. Following the path of the Yoga Sutras, she seeks to move your physical body as a way to help you calm your mind and gain access to your soul.
Madison’s original dream was to be a philosopher professor. The way people think, how they live and why they even exist in the first place are her favorite things to study. Yoga and specifically yoga teacher trainings have been her excuse to discuss these topics and explore so many more.
Formally, she has studied under Ashley Turner at Yoga. Psyche.Soul and Robert Bernberg in Positive Psychology and the Yoga Sutras as well as attaining her 300 hour from Ra Yoga with Jenny Vande Hei. She has been leading 200 hour and 300 hour trainings for over 8 years and continues her personal study becoming a Somatic Movement Practitioner, Feminist Life Coach and Master Buti Yoga Teacher.
