This workshop will explore functional mobility as the capability to move the body with greater ease, control, adaptability, and awareness.  Participants will explore the difference between flexibility and mobility while engaging in movement practices designed to support joint range of motion, strength through available range, balance, coordination, and functional movement patterns.  Integrating yoga and mental health principles, the workshop will also explore how stress, protective patterns, body awareness, and the nervous system can influence the way we move.  Participants will be encouraged to develop a more curious and compassionate relationship with their bodies rather than approaching movement from a place of correction, comparison, or performance.
